Amber Heard Fails To Appear In Australian Court
Over Charges For Illegally Bring Dogs
Amber Heard was charged for allegedly smuggling
two dogs into the country that she shares with Johnny Depp. Now she failed to
turn up for a court hearing in Australia.
Earlier this year, Yorkshire Terriers were brought
into the country and Amber Heard was charged with one count for producing a
false document and two counts for illegally importing Boo and Pistol.
According to sources, the two dogs were brought
in the private jet of her husband Johnny Depp, as the actor was busy in the
shooting of his upcoming sequel for Pirates Of The Caribbean.
Amber Heard was supposed to appear on Monday in
Queensland State at the Southport Magistrates Court. She is being asked to appear for the hearing
on 2nd November by the judge of the court, according to Associated
Press.
Meanwhile, Amber Heard was not expected to
appear in the court as she had to attend the Venice Film Festival. Authorities in
Australia can to know about the smuggling of these two dogs when their pictures
where posted online.
Barnaby Joyce, minister for agriculture, raised
the issue and brought the case to everyone’s notice when a scathing attacked
was launched on Johnny Depp for bringing the dogs to Australia. Due to strict
quarantine laws, such acts are not allowed in an effort to prevent spread of
disease.
Regardless of the stature of the person
involved in this activity, be it a famous movie star, laws and rules are
applicable equally to everyone.
