Martin Amis
Movie Starring Johnny Depp and Amber Heard Dropped From Toronto Film Festival
Johnny Depp and wife Amber Heard new movie “London
Fields” has been withdrawn from premiering at the Toronto Film Festival as a
row has erupted between director Mathew Cullen and producers Jordan Gartner and
Christopher Hanley.
The director of the movie “London Fields” has
sued the producers over claims that the latter had put some incendiary images in
the movie without any discussions. Both the producers, on the other hand,
cleared themselves by making the statement the director has no right to decide
the final cut.
“London Fields” a murder mystery movie is based
on the novel written by Martin Amis and the early review about the movie have
been mixed. According to Guardian the movie is awfully silly, rich and
novelistic, on the other hand Screen Daily has labelled it as lushly ambitious.
Toronto organiser decided to pull out the movie
from premiering at the festival after they learned taken by Cullen in Los
Angeles.
The movie stars Johnny Depp and his wife Amber
Heard. The lead lady plays the role of a clairvoyant in this thriller movie. She
is aware of the time and place when she died in her earlier birth. But, she is
not aware of the one who perpetrated. Depp has a comic role in the movie.
Talking about the legal action taken by Cullen,
he wants his name to be removed from the movie. He stated that the producer
have manipulated with the original content of the movie and scenes and footage
that have been placed now are highly offensive and these were not something he
was asked to direct.
