Portraying As Michael Jackson Shocking Says Joseph Fiennes

Joseph Fiennes is shocked that he is playing the role of Michael Jackson for Sky Arts in a TV programme. The actor plays the role of the singer in the TV series in which Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando and Michael Jackson takes on a road trip after the terror attacks of 9 / 11.

Some of the fans have expressed their anger to the casting, but Fiennes mentioned that Jackson looked more closely to his colour as compared to his original colour. Sky Arts has stated that creative freedom is being taken up by the producers for casting.

Fiennes said he is of the belief that Jackson has some issue with pigmentation with his skin; this means that there should not be any problem with race.

Nothing Malicious

Joseph Fiennes mentioned that he is a middle-class, white guy from London and he is as shocked with the casting as you all are. The TV series has a light comedy outlook and there is nothing malicious in any form.

The actor mentioned the more he is looking at Michael Jackson, the more he is falling in love with him. He has a big role to play ahead of him.

The plot is titled as Elizabeth, Michael and Marlon and will run for 30 minutes. Fiennes talked about the plot and stated Michael happens to be in New York along with his best buddies, Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor, a night before 9 / 11.

Michael was giving a concert and he was introduced on stage by Brando. After the concert, both of them were not able to leave as the air space is being shut down. The two then decide to take a car and go on a road trip.

Scottish actor Brian Cox will play the role of Brando and Stockard Channing will play the role of Taylor. Channing became famous for the role played by her in musical movie Grease and TV drama The West Wing.
