Ed Sheeran And Ellie Goulding Nominated For BBC Music Awards

Ed Sheeran, Jason Derulo and Ellie Goulding are all set to run for the song of the year for BBC Music Awards. For the award ceremony that will be held on Thursday in Birmingham, the songs Bloodstream, Want To Want Me and Love Me Like You Do are among the ten nominations that will be announced ahead.

According to bbc.com, other songs that are included in the nominations include Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson that features Bruno Mars and Hold My Hand from Jess Glynne.

At the event this year, song of the year is the only category out of the five award categories that will be judged by the public.

The songs that have been shortlisted are among the top ten songs that are played the most on BBC Radio and television in the year that has gone by. General public will start voting for the category from December 9 by going on BBC Music website.

The song Take Me To The Church from Hozier has been covered by all including Demi Lovato and Ed Sheeran, while the song Love Me Like You Do from Ellie Goulding went on to become the theme song for the hit movie Fifty Shades of Grey.

Meanwhile, the famous songwriter and singer Ed Sheeran offered a private show for $2 and very few people took the opportunity. The singer had labelled it as the “peep show”, however, he had to wait for nearly two hours before someone showed up to hear him
