Taylor Swift earned the
nomination for Album of the Year along with the Weekend and Kendrick Lamar.
These
three were picked up for the biggest awards of the Grammy. For a celebrity of
someone like the stature of Taylor Swift, this is just not enough.
According to rollingstone.com,
the fabulous looking singer has also locked the nominations for two other
categories i.e. Record of the Year and Song of the Year, thanks to the immense
popularity of “Blank Space”. The song “Alright” from Lamar has been nominated
for Song of the Year.
The second nomination for Record
of the Year goes to “Can’t Feel My Face” from the Weekend. The 58th
edition of the annual Grammy Awards will be aired on CBS on February 15th.
Talking about the Album of the
Year category the Weekend’s Beauty Behind the Madness, Swift’s 1989 Alabama
Shakes’ Sound & Color, Chris Stapleton’s Traveller, and Lamar’s To Pimp A
Butterfly will compete against each other for this year’s Grammy.
1989 from Swift was released on
27th October 2014, but since it was released outside the window of
eligibility so it was not up for the 57th edition of Grammy Award. Although
the song “Shake It Up” from Swift got nominated for Song of the Year and Record
of the Year for the 2015 ceremony.
There are in all 11 nominations
for Lamar that range from Best Music Video, Best Rap Collaboration, Best Rap
Album, Song of the Year and Album of the Year, among others. For the main
categories Swift and Lamar will find the toughest competition from each other.

keeping their fingers crossed and it has been quite nerve wrecking for some of
